As print was my trend to study for the summative brief I thought I'd do a post on a couple of the prints that were trending on the catwalks this season. My favourite are polka dot, paisley print, florals, use of words/ slogans and of course animal print.

For florals prints, so many designer endlessly continue to use this and of course its back again this season. Designers such as Simon Rocha and Erdem have had models come down the catwalk in floral prints paired with retro silhouettes and black patterns. I find florals such a feminine print as it just so pretty and girly.

Brands such as Dolce & Gobanna and Celine sent models down the runways in large polka dots onto feminine silhouettes and with Marni and Chloe the polka dots were less symmetrical. I love the polka dot trend as it is just so easy to wear and easy to feel so good wearing it. It can be either dressed up or down which makes it so versatile.

Animal print is by far my favourite with designs from Burberry, Gucci and Tom Ford being shown this season. They've definitely had their moment over winter but nothings stopping them going away at the moment.

The use of words and slogans is a reoccurring trend that started in the 80's. It has been seen on Ashley Williams designs and Dolce & Gobanna's matching suits and dresses.
