New York Day 5

For breakfast we went to a place called Friedman's. This was a typical American breakfast place that served things such as pancakes, waffles and French toast etc. I decided to go with the French toast because it was the most Instagram-worthy looking breakfast - of course. I've never had French toast before then and it was just divine, especially with the berries on the top. For the first drink of the day I just had to have a good English cup of tea, something I was missing being away from home. However I did feel like I should have ordered a completely EXTRA coffee or something with 6 layers of cream and sprinkles, after all it is America they like to do it big.

Talking about over-the-top drinks our next visit of the day was to the most talked about milkshake place in New York - the Black Tap. Here served the biggest most ridiculous milkshakes you've ever seen, I chose to have the peanut butter as it looked the most appetising however the most sickly. Gorgeous in fact and actually wasn't as sickly as I expected (or I've just got a sweet-tooth.

After we'd eaten all we could it was just last minute shopping for any presents and gifts we wanted to take back home for our family (but also for ourselves). We managed to tackle the gigantic Macy's after not even being able to walk through without somebody wafting a lipstick or a perfume sample in your face.
