Today was our first full day of New York and we spent it very wisely - exploring fifth avenue. It was the next street down from us as we were situated pretty much in the middle of New York. We visited shops such as Victoria Secret, Sak's, Tiffany & Co, Gucci, Berdolf Goodman, Nike and lots, lots more. We found all sorts of store concepts such as in the Adidas store there was a running track so customer could take a run or get their stride analysed, in the Nike shop there was a personalisation area where you could make your own trainers and in Victoria Secret they had displays of their annual show's actual outfits.

The biggest most exciting part to this day was going into a Tiffany Store for the first time in my life with the intention of finding a necklace to purchase. I walked in to the gigantic mansion of a store to be greeted by one of the security men on the door. He then asked me 'Do you know what you're looking for?' and I said 'not really can we just have a browse' and he responded 'you know there's 6 floors right?' and this is when I realised how much of a luxury brand Tiffany & Co is.

We were taken up to the sixth floor by another one of the staff and greeted again by someone else when we got there, the lady pointed us to where we needed to go for sterling silver necklaces and this was were I found the necklace I wanted. The lady behind the counter helped me try it on and I loved it I just had to buy it!

After a day of exploring 5th Avenue and finding out more about the stores that are there, we took a trip up the Empire State Building to admire the spectacular view and take the New York atmosphere in.
