New York Day 1

So the first day of New York was actually a Monday and we arrived at about 2pm after a 7 hour flight. We took our first trip out to look around the shops and accidently found Madison Square Garden's (which I HAD to have a photograph in front of, of course!).
We had a evening walk around the beautiful midtown Manhattan and visited a few American shops such as Macy's and Sephora, the ones that aren't located in the UK, and were absolutely amazed.

The customer service in the stores was above and beyond, as soon as we walked into the stores we'd be greeted, then whilst we were looking around every member of staff we saw would let us know that we could ask if we needed help with anything. I just thought this was so polite as Americans are known for being that little bit more friendly. I wouldn't be surprised if they thought the English were rude in all honesty.
Walking around we noticed the shops were triple the size of the UK stores, and that the shop windows definitely caught your attention when walking past.

As we didn't have much time that evening we found a place to eat called Arby's after walking miles and being so amazed by the city.
