I am now in my second term of Uni and I am liking the course so far. It has definitely had its challenging moments and feel like it certain pushed me out of my comfort zone but the whole experience is still so exciting and new to me. I've tackled all sorts of tasks, research, photoshoots, presentations etc and I've came out with so many different skills from it.

In terms of moving to Nottingham, to cut a long story short, I didn't want to in all honesty. Being a home girl, I enjoy to stay at home and work as I feel this works better for me. I feel if I lived in halls at Uni I'd never get any work done because the city is so close by and so tempting to do other things e.g shopping.

The travelling isn't so bad as it only takes be 45 mins on the bus, at least it isn't a 45 minute walk. But this short time to get me to where I want to be studying for my degree that I'll get in 3 years time isn't really all that bad.

The lectures and seminars I find so inspiring and always come away be influenced by something someone has said whether it's the lecturers or a classmate. The work I sometimes find challenging but there would be no point being there if I didn't find it hard in some way.

One thing I've learned about Uni is there is a lot of group work and presentations involved. Now groupwork can be fun because you are able to bounce ideas off of one another and work together, however when people decide to not get involved or be a part of it, it can be a struggle. Presentations are something I don't feel I am good at, however there is always room for improvement and I guess practice will help too.

The content really interests me and I am glad to be able to learn about real life brands and create potential ideas for them. The Outcomes part I particularly enjoyed about this first term as I enjoy taking photos and manipulating the images afterwards. My 2 years in A Level photography is probably responsible for this.

Overall, my first couple of months at Uni I've really enjoyed, I've made amazing friends, learnt about fascinating things and I can't wait to see what the next term brings.
